The book covers not only the conflicts subsequent to the occupation of Mashonaland and the Rebellion, but also the Boer War, and the near-farcical conquest of Schuckmannsburg in the Caprivi and service in Tanganyika during WWI. During peace time the force was engaged in civil administration. A scarce find.
