History of the Livingstonia Mission in Northern Malawi among the Angoni tribe. The author wrote several works on the language of the Ngoni or Zulu people. The book has good photos of the west side of Lake Nyasa and of the local people.

Hardcover. English. Oliphant Anderson & Ferrier, London. 1899. 319 pp with black & white illustrations and coloured fold-out map at rear.. Good condition in original mustard boards with gilt title on spine and front cover with vignette of warrior on front. Slight edgewear to cover. Ownership details of Prof Harry Langworthy inside with sticker 'From the Author on inside end paper. Light foxing on end papers, and rear map has a tear but no paper loss. Book No: 2002338
