Two States - One Nation?

As the Berlin Wall crumbled & the two Germanys became one, a lone voice spoke out against reunification -- the voice of the renowned German writer Gunter Grass. For the past 30 years, he has argued against a united Germany, warning that a single Germany would be a colossus loaded with complexes & that we (Germans) have every reason to fear ourselves as a unit.
