Taking Chances

The man who was Chief of Scouts for Smuts was equally at home on the battlefield or the game field. He was an great soldier and an ardent big game hunter. He is known for his service to the British South Africa Company and to the British Army in colonial Africa, and for teaching woodcraft to Robert Baden-Powell in Rhodesia.
